Step Three - gathering more people & materials
I've long believed that in stating an intention, out loud, to a group of people - as opposed to privately in a diary or to just one friend - increases the odds of that intention actually coming to be.
In my stating on ChangeEverything.ca, that I was going to launch this vaccine informed consent campaign in 2009, I've received emails from 2 people, who before going public with my goal, I'd never met. Building expectations is the best way to keep me honest!
I continue with little steps in making this intention a reality:
I bought a couple of URLs (a dot org and a dot ca) that I hope might serve as the website address for the project.
I asked the web developer who created my personal/business website if she'd be willing to build the vaccine informed consent site for $1,000 and she's agreed - what a sweetheart, she is! ($1,000 since I'm hoping to win the Viva la Resolution! contest, of course!).
And, although I recycled a 2 metre high pile of documents when I moved last week, I held onto all of the material I've collected over the last 5 years on this topic (about a .25 metre tall pile!) and am starting to build my database of places to get the most topical info to analyse and report on.
Fun, fun, fun!
