Though not religious ourselves, I found a website where you can give charitable donations on behalf of your friends and loved ones. (Give a goat, breeding chickens, fresh water, medical or school supplies..the list is extensive.) I couldn't say no to the whole idea.

We spent more here than we would ever have considered spending at Christmas and I can't believe how good it feels! I hope everyone that we've donated on behalf of understands how truly well meaning our gifts are.
