As much as I dearly love cats, I have come to realize that I love most animals equally as much.

Over the last month I have been tending a whole caboodle of seed starts for the spring fling. What I've learned so far is how to make newspaper pots for seedlings, that I should have started many of the seedlings a lot sooner and I may invest in some grow lamps for the fall.

I am really impressed by the commitment of our organizing team. They are a truly inspiring bunch of people and I am learning so much.

We are raising funds, volunteers are signing up, the site is being transformed. Somehow it is all coming together.

Maverick Cat Coalition is an all volunteer-run charity dedicated to helping homeless and feral cats. Our primary focus is to improve the quality of life for these cats and to provide a TNR (trap, neuter and return) program.

A group of us have already tackled the first hurdle, which is to get approval in principle by Translink to use this land.
