A prof at UVic reinforced an interesting idea that I'd heard before when I asked about WGWT. Days turn around with just one experience. While at 8:30 she thought it was going to be an horrendous day, one good class gave her a lift.
What made the difference? The students showed up. One example of media from the Olympics turned into an ethical discussion and carried the rest of the class.
