EUROPE '07!
So I did it! I booked my European adventure! I also now have a friend coming with me (Christianne) and we are going to have a blast! We leave September 16th flying into Glasgow and are in Europe until November 28th flying out of London. I can’t wait! I have been looking up places to go, things to do, people to see. It’s going to be the time of my life. I also picked up a second job in the summer that is Monday to Friday, 9am-3pm. So that means I can still work at my regular job (Starbucks) evenings and weekends and I will have plenty of cash to spend when I am over there. I also have plans to visit my friend Sarah who is going to be in Turkey at the same time and she has a friend in Istanbul that we are all going to go hang out with for a while when we are there. So far I am having a lot of fun looking up sightseeing things and stuff we are going to do where we are over there. Yesterday I went for coffee with a friend who had just done 2 and a half months in Europe and she gave me the low down on what to expect and how to go about booking flights and to take over night trains/busses to avoid paying for a accommodations, good little tips like that. So far I have my air fair paid off (which was only $844.90 round trip! Can you believe that!?) And my digital camera and memory card I just bought is all paid off. Now all I need to do is start saving and I am good to go! I have 5 months to save up about $5000 and the summer job I got guarantees me at least $3000 after taxes so I should be set to go! I can’t wait and I will try and keep everything posted as I go along. I’m so glad I set this resolution for myself and that I am actually sticking to it and doing it. It’s amazing what a person can accomplish if they only set their mind and soul to it 100% and just go for it. I would tell anyone out there that if there is something they want to do to just go and do it, put the 1st steps into action stick with it because it may take some time but it is worth it in the long run! Until next time, Calan.
