Try out Change Everything

Well, I probably wouldn't be blogging on this site normally - I'd be doing it on my own blog, which - what's that? I should plug it shamelessly? Suuuuure! WWW.REPUBLICOFSPARKLE.COM.

Moving on; I've known about the changeeverything.ca site for a while, filing it generally as something cool to keep an eye on. But throw a fantabulicious free bike in to the mix and I'll do just about anything.

So tomorrow I should be meeting up with my good friend E to get the bike. Stay tuned for many exciting developments. Will the bike be heavy going up hills? Will increased mobility mean a better tan? Will I walk or ride the four blocks to my workplace? Most importantly - will the bike get stolen?

I have a mixed relationship with bikes in Vancouver. More accurately, a mixed relationship with bike thieves. Four summers, four stolen bikes. So it goes. Let's hope I have better luck with Big Red! [Aside: Potential names for bike - Clifford; Annie; Wrigley;]

Some of the bikes come from the ultra-excellent Raincity Bikes - getting one of those would be neat. Some good friends of mine are involved in that company, and I think it's cool that they are interested in social/community programs.

Okay, that's really about as much as I have to share about the bike share program. I like blogging. Let's see how it goes.
