Take out
I love to cook, but seldom have the time, so I eat takeout. I know the facts, the packaging is bad for the environment, the food is unhealthy, the act of preparing food for yourself can make you feel connected and centered. But, there is something special about the act of ordering take out Chinese.
You feel special, there is a rhythm to it - I sound like a junkie, right? But thats what junk food is, a drug. I think cooking a meal is about taking care of yourself in a very personal way, very spiritual. If you think back, you'll probably notice the pattern too, we order out because we are feeling disconnected from ourselves or life or everything. And we just want someone, anyone to take care of us. Even if its in the form of a funny little box.

I know. I get take outs as
I know. I get take outs as a shortcut but, and I hadn't thought about this until you wrote it, it is also a sign of disconnection and apathy. I'll be on the look out for that in the future - thanks.
