Approved!
Not much to say today 'cept I got word that my request for an event has been APPROVED! All that means is that they've booked off a day during Youth Week 2007 for me to put on a benefit concert for child soldiers... which is FANTASTIC! I've already started putting together details and so far, people are really keen to pitch in and help out. Which is nice because a local show in general is hard to plan... but now, a local show for YOUTH WEEK 2007! That's exciting.
And only today did I really realize how IMPORTANT it is to network. Just when you least expect it, someone you know comes in to save the day. Which is exactly how I got approved for this show! Hurrah!
In other news, I think I may be getting sick. I am tired as heck and not doing so well. So let's hope that I get well in time to enjoy my Reading Break! Snowboarding and organizing and seeing old friends... just what I needed.

Thanks for the good wishes... the day that I posted this (12th) was actually Day 2 of my three-day sickness! On day 3, I realized just how bad it could get. I don't think I've ever slept SO MUCH during daytime hours! But day 4 has me feeling MUCH better! So yes, thanks again!

That's terrific news on the Youth Week event. But do take whatever time you need to get well -- you can achieve a heck of a lot more when you're not flat on your back and miserable. (Why, yes... I did get this cold that's going around.) :-)
