This one is for my parents. When I was a tiny tot my parents had a book on their shelf called "Gods, Graves and Scholars" and it was about major archaeological discoveries. The first part of the book was about the volcano Vesuvius and the destruction of Pompeii and Herculaneum. I was too young to read so my mother described to me what happened.

Synopsis of issue. Metro Van (and corporate interests) have looking into solving our over-abundance of waste problems with large incinerators. Their argument is to generate energy from burning garbage. The City of Vancouver (CoV) has been fighting the proposal and with good reason.

The main thing I want to work on is not taking things too personally and getting mad at dumb stuff. For example, my friend would make a joke if I pronounced a word wrong or if I didn't know something that was assumed to be "obvious". I would immediately get defensive over this, as if I was challenging my own intelligence.
