About change everything
If you want to make changes - in your own life, in your neighbourhood or in your world - then Change Everything is the site for you. It's fun, it's free and it's a great way to work towards positive change for you and our community.
What you can do here
To become part of the Change Everything community all you need to do is register on this site. It's fast, easy and free so join now. As a registered user of Change Everything you can:
- Create a list of the changes you want to make - big or small. From changing the world to changing your look, you can do it here.
- Talk about your changes. Your personal change blog lets you keep track of your progress, ask other community members for help, and share what you've discovered. As soon as you've created or joined a change you want to work on, you can start blogging about it.
- Learn how to change. We've invited some of the leading experts in their fields to offer advice on making change in a wide range of areas. Keep checking our learn area for new topics!
- Help others change. Join a conversation about the changes your friends and neighbours are making. Or jump in and add their change to your own list by saying, "I want to change this too!".
Who we are
We're an online community of changemakers. Some of us are longtime activists; some of us are community leaders; and a lot of us are just regular people with a few ideas for how we'd like to change things. We're focused in Vancouver, the Lower Mainland and Victoria, British Columbia, but we welcome people from anywhere in the world. All you need are positive ideas for change.
Who's behind Change Everything
Change Everything is a project of Vancity, Canada's largest credit union. The Change Everything web site was spurred by the spirit behind Vancity's new campaign (see some of the ads here).
We also owe a debt of gratitude for the inspiration and advice we received from the good people at the Robot Co-op, developers of 43 things. The large and deep community that has emerged around 43 things -- and the way that the site has encouraged people to pursue their goals -- helped us envision the power of online community as an engine of change in the offline communities of the Lower Mainland and Victoria.
